My Favorite MBTA Bus Driver

I had a great ride home on the MBTA’s #77 bus line last night.

I didn’t happen to note the name of the driver, but he was without question the smoothest driver I have ever experienced as a passenger on the MBTA. Normally it seems like riding the MBTA is a herky-jerky amusement park ride. Most of the bus drivers drive like they’re playing a video game, alternatively beating the accelerator and slamming the brakes and then jerking turns left and right.

But last night was like riding a limo home. I really should have noted the drivers name, but his bus number was 0660 (at least I think it was). I was picked up at Porter Square at right about 6 pm, heading outbound to Arlington.

What was additionally pleasant is that not only was he a smooth, and proficient driver, but he was helpful, polite and friendly as well.

Hey MBTA General Manager Dan Grabauskas, this guy deserves a pat on the back.
